Lowase – we are powering talents and startups of the future

Why better working nations?

Africa’s youth between the ages of 15 and 24 constitute over 20% (~200 million) of the region’s total population. However, less than 10% of the population 25 years and older had completed a university education, and the average for the continent was 3.8%, in 2020. While, millions of African students are not able to access quality education, with a third dropping out of school or college. This is particularly due to monetary poverty, deprivation from basic school equipment, and perception of low returns to education.

With Covid-19 pandemic wiping out decades of sustainable inclusive economic progress, African nations are increasingly challenged in their efforts to assure universal high-quality education, decent jobs creation, and youth employment. Our philosophy at LOWASE is that, “no nation rises above the quality of its think tank and value of its human capital assets”. New skills and value creation, will therefore open abundant doors for better working organizations, industries, and economies, from anywhere.

“A better working nation for everyone, starts with you and me as changemakers. Our next generations count on us today, for a great sustainable future.”

“If we don’t allow our young people to build practicing experience and startups to become stronger institutions; who then produces an economy that works?”

Its philosophy, was that irrespective of ownership of tertiary institutions in Lagos State, the government should be able to add its own value to graduate students and make them really employable and ready for the world of work either as employees or employers.
